Simon’s Fall Senior Session | Bears Den Overlook, Bluemont, Virginia
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a senior session, and lemme tell ya, WE COULD NOT have picked a better fall weekend for Simon’s fall senior pictures! We went to Bear’s Den Overlook, a beautiful national park settled in Bluemont, Virginia, and hiked around for an hour taking pictures
When going back and forth between our calendars, we almost pushed his senior session to 2020. However, fall colors were a priority on his list, so we made a last-minute date work! It also just so happened to be the peak weekend for fall colors in Virginia! Doing so gave us some STUNNING fall colors for his senior session!
Throughout this session I got to learn that while he comes from an outdoorsy/hiking family, he prefers to stay inside and work with computers. I also learned that his family has lived in several different states in the last several years! Their favorite place to call home so far has been Vermont. They said one thing they like about Virginia though, has been our Fall season. Virginia is filled with a variety of foliage, but in Vermont, the primary fall color is yellow. Because of this, his mom asked if we could get make sure to get a few of the red leaves in the background for some of his photos. I must say, I have to agree on that front. Virginia has some pretty epic autumn seasons. 🙂
My FAVORITE thing from Simon’s session was that when I asked him to describe himself, (i.e. sporty, athletic, outdoorsy, etc.), his answer was ‘academic.’ I LOVE that his answer was outside the box and described him 100%. He said he is hoping to pursue some sort of degree in technology or computer science in college next year! I can’t wait to see where God leads you, Simon!
