My friends and I took a trip to Assateague Island National Seashore last year and we quickly realized that it is a trip we need to do every year. We shared many fun conversations throughout our days on the beach, and had lots of fun body-surfing and walking by the ocean at night chasing sand-crabs.
Although this trip was cut short because of some rain, it was just as beautiful and fun. There’s something about spending time with friends and getting away from the normal day to day hustle. We were treated this year with a walk along the beach in the morning at the same time as some of the local horses. They say to keep a bus length away from the wild horses because, well, they’re wild. While I do my best to follow that rule, it was a fun experience when the horses ignored it and walked right past us, enjoying for themselves the gentle morning waves. I look forward to doing this again next year!
